Locker Room Chatter~8.24.07

Locker Room Chatter...

Good cause
Are you training for an event and need to raise money? Host a virtual SheRuns "party" to raise funds for your upcoming marathon. This is a perfect fundraising event for Team in Training or National AIDS Marathon participants.

How it works:

  • SheRuns will register you and provide you with a promotion code
  • You will let "your customers" know that SheRuns will make a donation for each item purchased using your promotion code
  • SheRuns will track all of your sales and make a donation to your page at the end of your promotion

Fundraising Tips:

  • Be sure to let all of your teammates, friends, family and colleagues know about your SheRuns fundraising
  • Mention your SheRuns fundraising in every email
  • Host a "virtual" SheRuns party--have your friends and family come to your home and show them your SheRuns merchandise (because of course you have at least one t-shirt!) and have them place orders right on your computer
  • If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area have a "SheRuns Day" at your next team run or team event (this by far has been the most effective in raising funds!)

on your marks

Welcome to the SheRuns blog! We are really excited to share our inspirations, experiences, events and promotions with you. Brenda and I started SheRuns after training for our first marathon. We felt so inspired by the sense of community and camaraderie we experienced among all the women we trained with while participating in the National AIDS marathon training program that we set out to recreate it in SheRuns --one of our primary goals was to capture and celebrate that feeling! We’ve done it and haven’t looked back yet! We enjoy hearing our customers’ unique stories. Whether you literally run or run metaphorically, we want to hear your stories! So join us on the blog and we promise we will blog right back!
